Yoda is an extremely powerful Jedi Master. As such, he has some pretty "calls for a permission post" abilities. So let me know what is/isn't okay for him to use on your characters. In general, these abilities are:
Jedi Mind Tricks: Overriding the will of the weak minded (These aren't the droids you're looking for)
Empathy: The ability to pick up on the emotions of others.
Precognition: Most likely to come up in a combat situation, knowing in advance what the other character will do.
Battle Meditation: Influencing the overall morale of a battlefield, bolstering his compatriots and depressing his opponents.
ETA
Telekinesis: Flinging about of weapons.
AND WHILE I'M HERE!
Fourth Walling: I'm fine with fourth walling so long as it makes sense. And Yoda being so recognizable, it is likely to make sense.

Empathy: Have at it! L isn't very outwardly emotionally demonstrative when he can help it (ie, not immediately in danger and terrified) and he doesn't get to talk about feels that often.
Precognition: Go for it. This would throw him for a nasty loop and shock him, which I am all for.
Battle Meditation: I see no reason against it and I say awesome.
