Aidan's got a stronger will than it might seem at first, but I'm fine with mind tricks as long as you talk to me first. Picking up on his emotions is a definite yes -- I'll mention them in narration if/when they interact.
He is definitely going to recognize Yoda. Is he allowed to tell Yoda that, in his universe, Yoda's fictional?
